To access the set allowed hours setting in Scheduler 3, click on the options button at the bottom right hand corner of the window. You can then choose to customize allowed hours for your entire company or for each individual store/unit if your stores vary significantly in sales volume.
There are two options available. The first option is to set the Maximum Sales per Hour Threshold. You will see three columns…Sales per Hour, Allowed Hours, and Sales per allowed hour. Start by filling in the total sales per hour column and the Sales per Allowed Hour will auto-fill once you save.
Example: For every $40 in sales, you are allowing 1 labor hour. In order to allow 2 labor hours, you may double your desired productivity to $80 in sales to keep things simple. You can also adjust the sales up or down to $75 in sales in order to allow 2 labor hours. This tool can be customized to you and your business.
The Second option in setting allowed hours, which is the ability to set minimum allowed hours. This allows labor hours regardless of what the sales are for the hour.
Example: Let’s say before you open for business at 7 am, you must have at least 2 crew members in the store at 6 am to prep for the day.
Once all adjustments are made, click “save and close”, and then close the tab.
In order for the saved changes to take effect, be sure to refresh your tab displaying the Scheduler.
